Adam Kelly's Night of Bohs

Here on the LoI interview show we have a new segment, Adam Kelly's night of Bohs, we do it almost after every bohs game, so here it is:

A goal from Gareth McGlynn on 77 minutes was all that separated the two sides in what was a thrilling Premier Division encounter at United Park on Tuesday night. This game was the re-fixed one which occured on the 9th of July which was abandoned at half time due to a power cut in the local area with Bohs leading 1-0. Under FAI rules the gate receipts received from this game were split 50-50 between the clubs!

The first chance fell to Drogheda in the first minute, Glenn FitzPatrick was through 1 on 1 but Chris O`Connor made a great save. The next chance fell to Aarron Greene who wriggled his way through the home teams defence but poked his shot wide of Robert Duggan`s left hand post. Chances were few and far between for the remainder of the first half with a few yellow cards livening the closing exchanges up.

The start of the second half saw Bohs up the tempo and Drogheda were clearly on the back front. A great passing move between Owen Heary and Jason Byrne saw Heary`s shot drift wide. The introduction of Paddy Madden and Killian Brennan changed the game for Bohs. Both adding much needed flair up front. The all important chance came when Conor Powell`s exqusite ball was controlled magnificently by McGlynn on the edge of the box who shot past Duggan. This brought scenes of dupilation and relief from the players and the fans.

But there was one last chance for Utd when Ryan Brennan whipped a cross into the box in the 90th minute, Chris O`Connor just managed to get their before the rampant John Flood.

Thank you very much to Adam for the segment
