Donagh's Thoughts:

Bohemians v Bray Wanderers
Dalymount Park 7.45pm

Bohemians go into this as firm favorites as they have in the other two rounds and have done well with the title.

But Bray have been in amazing form so far since Gormley left and a certain player has told me they are a cup team. Bray have been in 1 cup final already this season

This is why I predict a shaky 2-2 draw, with Bray winning the replay at the Carlisle Grounds 2-1.

Shamrock Rovers v Galway United
Tallaght Stadium 8.00pm

Ah this game in my opinion will be as much of a stormer as the Fingal v Pats game, as both sides have been strugling in the cup so far.

It took Galway at replay with local rivals Salthill Devon (Who are very low in the First Division) to secure their place in this match and Rovers stunned the league when they struggled to beat Longford, Saved only by the debatable decisions by Referee Richie Winter.

This is why I predict a 4-4 draw at Tallaght, with a replay going in Rovers favour at Terryland 2-0

St. Patrick’s Athletic v Sporting Fingal
Richmond Park 1.00pm

This is the biggest game of the quarters as one of the big, Dublin derbies. Fingal are defending the trophy, but not very well and Pats have been in great cup form ploughing their way through Dundalk and Belgrove. However Fingal have been stuttering, and even threw away leads at home to First Division High-Flighers Limerick FC and then went up 2-1 at Jackman in the last round.

This is why I predict a 3-0 win to Pats in this RTE televised game

Sligo Rovers v Monaghan United
The Showgrounds 7.45pm

This is a game that will be played twice in 7 days in cup games.

Monaghan are a class side with a lot of strength in depth and even going out at this stage would be a big win for them as they are also chasing promotion in probably the club's most successful season. However Sligo on the other hand were disappointed to not win the cup last year and will be well up for this huge clash, but they are in the same position as Bohemians were in at this time last season. They will be debating when and how to rest players for their 3 games in 7 days, 1 of which is a cup final

This is why I predict Monaghan to win this easily, 2-0. Rovers will rest key players and go down to Monaghan's strong side.

Thank you for reading and enjoy the fun-filled cup weekend!
